In March, 2024, the slaughter and processing plant partnered with 9Strong Holdings.  Headed by Nick Carter, 4th generation farmer and Indiana food entrepreneur, Montgomery Meats is part of a family of businesses focused on direct-to-consumer meat brands.  As a long-time customer of this plant, dating back to its days as Moody Meats, through IFG Processing, and now as Montgomery Meats, Nick Carter and his family's beef operation have long-admired the service and quality that the team brings.

Today, Nick leads 9Strong investing in Indiana's best businesses in direct-to-consumer meats.  Montgomery Meats is a key part of the 9Strong vision.  Our commitment is to build the best-in-class boutique processor for small farms serving their customers at farmers markets, CSA's, and online shipping.
